With the experience of teaching for more than three years, I’ve adapted to understanding students’ difficulties and challenges. I relate more as a friend than a tutor to know how they think about a subject matter before I approach with ways to help students. Being able to communicate well with students and adaptability is a key way to improve and help students. My primary teaching method is assist with assessments and in the process cover up the essential aspects of the subject matter in that topic.
Although just helping with assessments wouldn’t be of great help to them, I intend using this basic teaching method to open their minds to know it isn’t too difficult. They need the insights and ways to learn conceptual skills - video presentations of topics would help to understand certain concepts. This would be of good help to them even outside of my class, since the world awaits them to solve real life problems.
As I have decided to take this teaching role, I am keen and ready to go the extreme to help students willing to learn because the world still need great and innovative minds. I take it upon myself to play this role to help nurture and groom upcoming generations of scientists to make the world a free, simple and better place for everyone. I believe my approach and teaching methods coupled with good interpersonal relationships and communication skills are more effective in helping students to understand not just the abstract concepts but relate to them in the homes, school or wherever they find themselves.
