Hello!
I am a qualified teacher, specializing in Early Years, however I am experienced teaching across Primary school. I hold a PGCE in Primary Education and a Master's degree in Early Years Education. I have been teaching for over 10 years now: I started my career teaching English on Paris to children as well as tour-guiding on the side, fell in love with teaching, and the rest is history!
I am also a history graduate with a strong interest in literature, so am confident in tutoring either of these subjects up to A-level. For younger learners, I love teaching phonics and English and have a good grasp of early maths too. My experience with younger learners makes me very well versed in explaining things in simple, easily understandable ways as well as giving me a range of different techniques that are active, fun and engaging. I love teaching younger learners through play and games and find that this style really helps the learning to stick. Finally, I have exceptional French language skills, having lived in France for a year, and so would be comfortable supporting learners of French up to A-Level.
My favorite history periods are modern European (post 1900) and I have a particular interest in Russian history. I am also confident in teaching early modern history and have a great interest in Tudor England. I am confident in most of the texts across multiple English Literature GCSE and A-Level syllabuses and exam boards and am well placed to support!
