I have worked in secondary schools as a teaching assistant supporting a range of students, including those with moderate SEN needs. I managed to aid my first student's improvement from grade 6 to grade 8 in English Literature. I have a first-class English Literature degree from the University of Chester and received a mark of 78 on my undergraduate dissertation, so I would love the opportunity to tutor first-, second- or third-year university students with their essay writing skills.
First, I would love to have a quick chat about what you are looking for in your tutoring experience, finding out a bit about you, whether you have any examinations approaching and what goals you are looking for within the subject of English. I have a great knowledge of a range of GCSE and A-level texts, including but not limited to Inspector Calls, Frankenstein, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Romeo and Juliet, and Street Car Named Desire.

Whether it is character and text knowledge, essay structure, or exam skills, I am happy to help improve your confidence with your English Skills. I have a variety of interactive, engaging approaches towards the study of English and have a range of different techniques that I look forward to implementing with you as a tutee. Flashcards, mind-maps, question and answers, essay-writing sessions - however you learn, I am happy to help.

I am DBS-checked, received an A grade at A-Level, a 7/8 in my English Language/Literature GCSE and finally a first-class degree in English Literature.
