My lessons are structured, interactive and adapted to each student’s level and goals. I begin by identifying the topics the student finds difficult and checking whether any gaps in the underlying chemistry need to be addressed.

I explain each concept clearly and step by step, using diagrams, examples and carefully prepared slides. We then work through relevant questions together before the student attempts similar problems independently. For examination students, I use past-paper questions to develop problem-solving skills, accurate scientific language and effective exam technique.

I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and create a friendly environment where they can make mistakes without feeling uncomfortable. At the end, I summarise the main learning points and identify what we should cover next.

I have a PhD in Chemistry and more than ten years of university teaching, research and student mentoring experience. I teach National 5, Higher, Advanced Higher, GCSE, IGCSE, A-level and university Chemistry.
