I have 14 years experience of teaching GCSE Maths and Physics up to A-level. On top of my day to day teaching job, I have provided 1 to 1 online and in person tuition for the last 7 years. I have a PhD in physics and am a qualified teacher with QTS and a PGCE. I have also recently started delivering HNC Mechanical Engineering to higher education learners specialising in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, which has further developed my teaching skills.

I believe it's vitally important to give clear and detailed explanations along with step by step instructions on tackling problems- this is the approach I take to my teaching. I always strive to ensure students have mastered the basic topics within Maths and Physics to make sure they have the necessary foundations to tackle more complex problems within the subject. I have 11 years experience as an examiner, I actually mark the real GCSE and A-level exams taken by candidates, I know what examiners are looking for, because I am one! I know what is required and what we are aiming to achieve.

I am approachable and friendly and try to create an environment in which students feel comfortable to ask questions and express their ideas.
I drive and am able and willing to travel (within reason and where possible) to your home for tutoring at your convenience on evenings and weekends; however the vast majority of my tuition is delivered online. I have numerous positive references which are available at request
