Divya Sharma

Hello! I’m Divya, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Southampton with a PhD in Computational Biology. I am passionate about teaching and have several years of experience supporting students through university tutorials, online workshops, and one-to-one academic guidance. I was honoured to receive the Best Teaching Assistant Award (2024) at IIT Madras for my contribution to student learning.

I teach Mathematics, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Programming, Artificial Intelligence, and Biotechnology to students from primary school through university level. Whether you’re preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, university coursework, or simply looking to strengthen your understanding of STEM subjects, I tailor every lesson to your individual needs and learning style.

My lessons are interactive, structured, and focused on building confidence rather than memorisation. I begin by understanding each student’s goals, strengths, and areas that need improvement. Concepts are explained using simple language, real-life examples, visual aids, and step-by-step problem solving. Throughout the lesson, I encourage questions and active participation to ensure students fully understand the material.

I also provide practice questions, revision strategies, and constructive feedback to help students track their progress and prepare effectively for examinations. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a genuine interest in learning.
