I offer personalised Maths lessons designed around each student's current ability, goals and learning style. I have a strong academic background in Mathematics, having completed a BSc Mathematics with Actuarial Science with a 2:1, and I will be starting an MSc in Medical Statistics and Data Science at UCL in September.

My lessons are primarily aimed at GCSE and A-Level Mathematics students, including students who want to strengthen their foundations, improve their confidence or prepare for upcoming exams. I can also work with students who are already performing well and want to be challenged further.

I believe that understanding the reasoning behind a mathematical method is more valuable than simply memorising formulas. I therefore break difficult topics into smaller, manageable steps and explain concepts using clear examples before moving on to guided practice. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and adapt my explanations whenever something is unclear.

Lessons can include a mixture of teaching new concepts, working through examples, identifying areas of difficulty and completing exam-style questions. For exam preparation, I can help students develop problem-solving strategies, improve their working and become more familiar with the requirements of their exam board.

My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I want students to leave each lesson with a clearer understanding of the topic and greater confidence in their ability to solve mathematical problems independently.
