Conor Tierney-Barczysnki

Hello.

My name is Conor and I'm an English Language Teacher from Ireland. I have been teaching English for more than five years and really love it. In my lessons, I like to do a lot of speaking activities and incorporate as many topic-centered games/activities to make sure that my students are really engaging with the grammar or vocabulary that we are working on. I want to hear from my students and learn what they are interested in because this can help us engage with our speaking tasks and sometimes these interests can even be incorporated into grammar lessons.

I have spent a little over two years working with young learners, from age four to fourteen, and three years working with students from age fifteen to eighty-one. I love getting to work with students from different ages, and genuinely have no favourite age group, as it is always fun to see how people learn things differently. Right now, I am teaching mostly adult learners, with a number of teenagers also.

I have been teaching Exams English for the last two years, as well as General English. Having this much experience in both areas means that I can help you with whatever you might need, whether it's improving your conversation and listening skills, working on your reading comprehension, or even preparing to take an IELTS or Cambridge exam.
