Over five years teaching experience with students aged four to eighty-one

Hello.

My name is Conor.

I am an English teacher with more than five years active teaching experience. After completing my Bachelor's in Literature and Film, and my Master's in Comparative Literature, I decided to train as an English Language Teacher.

I began teaching international students in Dublin, Ireland, before moving to Vietnam for three years. In Vietnam, I spent a little over two years teaching students from four to eighteen, before moving to a different job where I prepared young Vietnamese students for IELTS exams before they moved to Australia to study in a University in Sydney. Since leaving Vietnam, I have been teaching a combination of General English and Exams English lessons. It has always been my goal to make lessons as fun, interesting and engaging as possible and over the course of my career, I have been able to learn many ways to do this.

I love my job as an English Language teacher because it allows me to build relationships with students from all over the world. There are very few things more satisfying than helping a student to grow their communication skills. I have been lucky enough to see my students develop from having very little English to being fully able to have engaging and exciting conversations about topics that truly interest them over the course of their enrollment.

When I'm not teaching, I like getting outside and exploring the city. I have just moved to Antrim which means that I get to explore and learn about a whole new place. I also love watching movies, reading and listening to music whenever I can as well as watching Formula 1 and Rugby.
