I’m an Educational and Engagement Specialist and artist, offering thoughtful, grounded mentoring for older young people in college and university, particularly those who are neurodivergent or feeling overwhelmed by academic and life pressures.

I create a calm, confidential space where students can talk openly, untangle what’s going on for them, and feel properly heard without judgement. This may include anxiety, burnout, identity, motivation, or the quiet pressure of trying to keep everything together while appearing “fine” on the surface.

My approach is relational and intuitive. I don’t rush or over-structure sessions. Instead, I meet students where they are, using conversation, humour, and creative thinking to help them regain clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of self.

Alongside emotional support, I offer bespoke, alternative education packages, including EOTAS provision, tailored to each individual. Drawing on my background as an artist, I use creative, real-world and project-based approaches to re-engage students with learning in a way that feels meaningful rather than forced or overwhelming.

I support students to break down academic demands into manageable steps, rebuild focus, and develop a sense of capability and independence.

I work particularly well with young people who feel out of step with traditional systems, helping them feel more grounded, more themselves, and more able to move forward..

I'd like to leave a review about Colleen. We met Colleen during a difficult time for our family. She arrived, and so many things became easier. Colleen worked with our 14-year-old son, who has many complex illnesses and diagnoses, including many developmental challenges, but she always found a way to connect with him, always sensitive to his mood and condition. Colleen drew and sculpted with our son, sang songs, read books, did creative activities, and listened to music, which I loved very much. It was so wonderful. Colleen worked with our son to help him use a fork and spoon, drink from a cup, practice putting on and taking off clothes, and generally worked with him to develop his independence. Colleen also did physical exercises with our son, throwing and catching a ball, walking on stepping stones, putting together pyramids, puzzles, and so much more, too many to list. Colleen invested a lot of effort and energy into the lessons, preparing at home and coming to classes prepared wit

I had the pleasure of being mentored by Colleen, who supported me as both a tutor and mentor. I can honestly say her support made a real difference in my academic and personal journey. She has a unique ability to create a comfortable and encouraging environment, which made it much easier for me to open up and stay motivated. Colleen helped me with my university application and also provided consistent emotional support during a stressful time. Her guidance was thoughtful, patient and always tailored to my needs. She genuinely listens and gives practical advice that helps you move forward with confidence. Over time, our professional relationship naturally grew into a friendship, which speaks volumes about her kindness and authenticity. I would highly recommend Colleen to anyone looking for a supportive, reliable and insightful tutor or mentor.
