Carys Williams

As an experienced university lecturer, I support students through coaching, regardless of your topic area. Coaching involves working with you to recognise your strengths, what motivates you and the opportunities you have to thrive.

This is a 1:1 conversation online where the student brings the topic they want to discuss and we work together to identify the barriers and the strengths you have to enable you to improve you wellbeing whilst at university. I provide space for you to talk and I will ask you questions that support you to look forward and create an action plan. It is important to note that this is not counselling, rather a supportive environment to help you prioritise your work, set action plans to stay focused and be accountable.

My background is in speech and language therapy and I specialised in adult neurology, communication, bilingualism and neuroanatomy. I have completed and published research.

As a university lecturer I have also been a personal tutor, providing support, mentoring and guidance for students. I am very familiar with students who are facing the challenges of university life; meeting deadlines, prioritising workload and also forming new friendship groups. University can be one of the most enjoyable chapters in your life and I am her to support you to make the most of it.
