As a Children and Young People’s Mental Health Practitioner, I am committed to helping my students create environments where every child feels understood, supported, and empowered to succeed. I have experience working with children and young people with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and sensory processing differences. I understand the importance of practical, consistent wellbeing strategies and am passionate about providing tailored interventions that promote emotional resilience, self-regulation, confidence, and social connection.
I am diagnosed with combined ADHD (Hyperactivity and Inattention), and I have extensive experience providing 1:1 SEND support within schools. I offer a range of workshops and small-group interventions which can be adapted to meet my students individual needs.
These sessions are flexible and can be delivered as one-off workshops, short-term interventions, or ongoing wellbeing series throughout the term. My goal is to collaborate closely with students to ensure the support is seamlessly integrated and complements existing initiatives.
Some of the areas I cover include:
• Emotional Regulation & Coping Strategies – Visual, sensory, and engaging techniques to help children identify and manage their emotions.
• Building Social Understanding – Activities designed to enhance communication, friendship skills, and social confidence.
• Wellbeing & Resilience – Sessions focused on strengths recognition, worry management, and self-esteem building.
Expected outcomes include:
- Improved attendance through enhanced mental wellbeing
- Increased overall wellbeing
- Greater classroom engagement by equipping students with self-regulation tools
- Targeted interventions for neurodivergent students
- Development of coping strategies
- Resources for staff, parents, and carers
- Person-centred approaches to intervention
