My lessons are relaxed, supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs. I begin by identifying the areas they are struggling with and then structure the lesson around building a clear understanding of those topics.

I usually start by explaining the method step-by-step and working through examples together, before giving the student questions to attempt independently. I encourage students to explain their reasoning so I can identify and address any gaps in their understanding.

For GCSE students, I also incorporate exam-style questions and past-paper practice to develop confidence with applying different methods and improve exam technique. For KS3 students, I focus on developing strong foundations that will prepare them for GCSE Maths.

I have previous experience tutoring students and working at a Saturday school, as well as experience working with young people at Oxford Royale. I aim to make every lesson interactive and engaging, while helping students become more confident and independent in their maths.

I also encourage students to take an active role in lessons, rather than simply listening to explanations. I will ask questions throughout the session and use their answers to check understanding and decide when to move on or revisit a topic. Where appropriate, I can provide short practice tasks or homework between sessions so students can continue developing their skills independently. I am happy to focus on specific topics requested by the student, work through school material they find difficult, or follow a structured plan towards upcoming tests and GCSE exams and build their confidence.
