Hello! My name's Charlotte, I'm 24 years old and I'm an experienced tutor looking to share my passion for language learning, whether it be English, Spanish or French.

I have a First Class Master's Degree in Russian Language and Literature from the University of St Andrews, and achieved A*s in both Spanish and French at GCSE and A-Level. I am passionate about languages and linguistics, and have experience tutoring both primary and secondary school pupils in French and Spanish. No two students study the same, and I believe in taking a personalised approach to each individual so that we can find the easiest and best way that you learn. I like to make my lessons as enjoyable and light-hearted as possible, as I know first-hand that studying doesn't have to be boring.

In my opinion, the best way to learn a language is not through rote memorisation, but through understanding. I seek to help my students understand the building blocks of a language, so that they can put together words, phrases and sentences themselves, rather than simply learning them off a list. My lessons are relaxed, informal, and I'm certainly not going to tell you off if you make a mistake! Rather, I encourage mistakes as they simply present a new opportunity to learn. I will use realistic, real-world scenarios to teach you the language of your choice, as I believe this is far more useful and relevant for each pupil.
