I will use an online format for teaching. I would ask that a few days before the lesson, the student could let me know if there are any specific questions they are struggling with. I would then prepare by finding practice questions and worksheets for them. The lesson would start of with me seeing how much they understand the concept and if they just need a recap or if they would need be to fully explain it in depth to the. I would use practice questions with varying difficulties to match the students level. When they complete the questions, if they have anything they've gotten wrong, I would go through each question with them in detail, to help highlight where they went wrong. If a student would prefer, I can also go through past paper exam questions with them and even practice completing these under exam time conditions to help them feel prepared for the real thing. I have experience working with children from ages 4-14 and whilst I have no formal tutoring experience, I have 2 younger siblings who I help with homework, often online as I am away at university. I also have helped friends younger siblings who did the same subjects as me at A level my marking exam questions and giving personalized, detailed feedback that will allow them to develop their skills in the future. I have a subscription to the website save my exams, so have access to thousands of potential practice questions for use with students.
