Caroline

My name is Caroline and I was born and raised in France. I came to the UK four years ago to study Business. I am fluent in three languages: French, English and Spanish and I did two years of German.

Throughout my life languages have been very important to me. They provided me with a deeper understanding of the world around me and made me more open-minded to other cultures. Learning other languages also gave me the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and go study in another country.

This is why I would like to transmit my knowledge to other people and give them the opportunity to better their skills with native speakers.

My lessons are adaptive to my student's needs and can range from going over the content they have learned in class for beginners to improving conversational skills for more advanced levels.

I like to offer a range of different activities and exercises to provide my students with the most complete way of learning. I help improve their levels through listening exercises where I read in French and ask them to summarise what I read in a couple of sentences, reading comprehension exercises where I send a piece of news to read and ask questions about the text, oral exercises where I offer a topic of conversation and assess their conversational skills and pronunciation exercises through readings.

For students looking for academic help, I usually ask them to send me what they are studying at the moment and prepare my lessons to target exactly what they are studying to help them get the best grade possible. For oral examinations, we usually practice based on the topics they are going to have during the exam for example.

I do all of my lessons online through video calls or phone calls if some students are only looking to practise conversational skills with a native speaker as this allows me to be more flexible with schedules.
