About me

I host classes online through Zoom. This way, we can both be fully comfortable and relaxed, at a time that is most convenient for you.

As the learner, you are the focus of my lessons. Whether you prefer to learn through more casual methods, or to fully focus on some serious studying - I can adapt to your preferred learning style.

If you tell me your goals, I will give you the tools to get there. Learning doesn't have to be scary or unfair. Sometimes all we need is someone to help us out a little when we feel stuck.

If you want to knuckle down and do some exercises, I can help you. I prefer to work online through a shared document, helping you work through your problems in real time. This way I can actively guide you through your studies, preparing you for any independent study you may choose to undertake.

If you provide me a mark scheme or mock paper for your chosen exam board, I can host mock exams and help you prepare for the real thing.

If you just want some casual English speaking practice, I can take detailed notes and assign speaking tasks, and help check any errors in a friendly and non-judgemental way.

If you prefer a traditional class, I have a huge bank of engaging and helpful powerpoints designed to help you use and perfect your English. I can focus on specific grammar points, or work through a curriculum step by step with you.

I have been trying to get back into writing after neglecting it for a couple of years and Caitlin's instruction has been empathetic and insightful. Their instruction shows strong analysis and just as much proficiency in breaking down why a piece works as they have intuition for the craft - a rare combination. I have found their instruction to be intuitive, accessible, and fun.
