My approach to teaching focuses on clear thinking, strong fundamentals, and building confidence through understanding. Rather than relying on memorising methods, I help my students see how problems work step by step, so they can approach new questions with confidence rather than uncertainty.
Early on, I work with my students to pinpoint exactly where things aren’t clear and from there, we build up understanding step by step using clear explanations, diagrams, and worked examples to make each step make sense. Once the core ideas are solid, we shift focus toward exam-style questions.
I help my students recognise common patterns, structure their answers clearly, and avoid typical mistakes. This builds both accuracy and speed, which is key for GCSE and A-level exams.
I also support with revision strategies such as simplifying notes, creating structured practice, or finding ways to revisit topics without it becoming overwhelming.
I’ve been involved in science outreach with the Institute of Physics and have experience communicating science through publications and patents in my professional work. This has trained me to break down more difficult concepts into something manageable and intuitive for all audiences and is a skill I bring directly into my lessons. My aim is not just to improve grades, but to help my students feel in control of the subject.
