I am 22 years old and i have been talking English for 16 years. Kids usually don’t call me by my name or last name, they usually call me “Shu” or “Shushu”. I enjoy building a good relationship with the kids and hearing them calling me with the nickname makes me so happy. Seeing them treat me like a big sister makes me so motivated and hyped up for the next lesson, as much as they do. I work with children and i teach English like it is a game. Children having fun while learning is a good way of teaching them as i have experienced. They see me as a big sister or a friend more than a teacher. I am easy-going and kind. I grew up with children and tutored a few kids since i started college and seeing that they have fun while learning made me think that this is one of the best ways to teach children. We play games, do activities and chat as they learn. It keeps them motivated and focused. I either find new games and activities or come up with them myself. I have fun as much as children does, seeing them motivated to learn and speak English. Helping them feel confident with their speaking skills and overcome the fear of pronouncing the words wrong. Since i have felt that way when i was a kid, i don’t want those children to feel that way and hold back their learning process, i want to help them feel confident
