I am a qualified science teacher currently teaching KS3 and GCSE students. I have experience supporting students of all abilities, from those struggling to pass to those aiming for top grades.
Currently teaching in a UK school – familiar with GCSE exam boards (AQA/Edexcel)
My approach focuses on simplifying difficult concepts, building confidence, and improving exam technique using structured practice and clear explanations.
I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs and learning style, ensuring they feel supported and make steady progress.
In my lessons, I focus not only on understanding the content but also on how to apply knowledge effectively in exams. Many students lose marks not because they don’t understand the topic, but because they are unsure how to structure their answers or interpret exam questions. I work closely with students to develop these skills through guided practice and targeted feedback.
I regularly use past exam questions and mark schemes to help students become familiar with what examiners are looking for. This helps improve both confidence and performance over time.
I am patient and approachable, and I understand that every student learns differently. I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual, whether they need step-by-step explanations, visual aids, or more challenging questions to stretch their understanding.
My goal is to help students feel more confident in science and achieve the best results they can.
I also provide help with revision strategies, past paper practice, and understanding mark schemes to maximise exam performance.
I offer a friendly, patient, and encouraging learning environment.
