Inclusive and interactive teaching. I connect theory to practice and real life scenarios where students are able to make sense of what they have covered. For example if I am teaching an individual about the respiratory system than it is best learned if they can be taught in a way where they can actually experience the use and significance of their respiratory system. This is a new and fascinating technique of making sure there active learning taking place and the facts remains in the student memory through application. Applying the knowledge they have learned is very important in order to fully grasp the topic. Practical work is perceived more strongly and stays in the memory for much longer than theory based learning. It is also important for the students to learn in a manner that is more engaging with real world ideas and examples.
Finally my technique of teaching gives the learner opportunity to bring their own critical perspective in to the classroom rather than act like passive learners. They get to fully be present and make use of the skills they have and not just listen and take what I am simple giving them. This ensures the learners are valued and keeps them interested in the topic. It is also one way of promoting inclusive classrooms where everyone is counted, heard and valued regardless of their race, culture, age and religion beliefs.
