Angela Ortiz

Regarding my academic pathway, I studied Bachelor (Honours) degree in Biotechnology, focused in biomedicine, genetics and research. I After this degree, I studied a master in Master in Analytical Techniques of the Clinical Laboratory in order to expand my knowledge in Biosciences.

On January 2021 I started a placement as a Science Lecturer in a College based in Cardiff, what is my current job. An opportunity to get experience in Further Education and improve my skills as a teacher and as a tutor. I teach to several groups, to students from different ages and academic backgrounds. The subjects I teach are: Biology (AS level and CGSE), BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Applied Science, and Access to Health Sciences course (Healthcare & Microbiology, and Anatomy & Physiology). All these subjects include: planning, delivery of the lessons, and assessment of the students.

I prepare personalized resources to all my students based in their needs and objectives to achieve.
