Hi, I’m Alex!

I am a dedicated PhD Researcher holding a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Applied Bioscience & Zoology and an MRes in Environmental Science & Earth Systems with a specialism in aquatic health and welfare. Alongside my research, I hold an HNC in Accounting & Finance.

As a parent balancing high-level scientific research with family life, I bring an empathetic, patient, highly organised, and interactive approach to tutoring.

Whether your child is facing exam based anxiety in their school exams, a college student or university student drowning in complex theories or data and statistical coding, I design low-pressure, highly engaging sessions. I specialise in breaking complex, overwhelming subjects down into relatable, manageable chunks so learners can build genuine confidence.

My Approach:
I don't just aim to teach facts; I teach how to think. In our online sessions, we will work cooperatively using shared screens and resources, live whiteboards, official SQA frameworks, or suitable datasets. I provide a supportive space where making mistakes is completely safe, all questions are encouraged, and milestones are celebrated.
