Hello! My name is Aishy Dutt, and I hold a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology and have completed an MSc in Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Resistance at the University of Glasgow quite recently. Biology has been my passion throughout my academic journey, and I am excited to share this enthusiasm with students!

Although this would be my first formal tutoring role, I have gained valuable experience through peer mentoring and collaborative study groups, where I helped fellow students understand challenging concepts in microbiology, immunology, and molecular biology. These experiences have taught me how to explain complex topics in clear, simple terms and adapt explanations to different learning styles.

My lessons are interactive and student-focused, beginning with an assessment of the student’s needs and goals. I like to break down topics into manageable parts, use real-life examples to make biology relatable, and encourage active participation through discussions and practice questions. I also integrate diagrams, flowcharts, and digital tools to support visual learners.

I aim to create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring their curiosity, and building confidence in their knowledge. Whether it’s preparing for exams, revising difficult topics, or developing a deeper understanding of biology, my goal is to help students succeed while making learning enjoyable.
