For undergraduates, I focus on strengthening foundations, whether that's electrochemical theory, interpreting cyclic voltammetry or EIS data, or understanding characterisation techniques like SEM, XRD, and TGA. We work through concepts methodically, using real research examples to make things click.
For Master's and PhD students, sessions are more collaborative. We might analyse your experimental results, refine your thesis structure, troubleshoot methodology, or work through viva preparation.
I hold a PhD from the University of Birmingham and an MEng from UCL. My research experience spans fuel cells, membrane science, and battery technology, including a fellowship at Kyushu University and industry work for Toyota Motor Europe. I currently work as an Electrochemistry and Battery Engineer, so everything I teach is grounded in current practice.
I've taught at the University of Birmingham and the University of Leicester, and I'm used to explaining complex topics clearly and giving direct, useful feedback.
Sessions are online, focused, and results-driven.
