Advert description
I'm Ahmed, a PhD-qualified electrochemist and chemical engineer with over seven years of hands-on research and teaching experience. I tutor university students at BSc, MSc, and PhD level, with a focus on electrochemistry, materials science, and research skills.
My background includes a PhD from the University of Birmingham, an MEng from UCL, a competitive research fellowship at Kyushu University in Japan, and current industry work as an Electrochemistry and Battery Engineer. I've published research in peer-reviewed journals and have delivered work directly to industry partners including Toyota Motor Europe.
I can help with:
• Electrochemistry concepts and techniques (CV, EIS, LSV, polarisation curves)
• Materials characterisation (SEM, XRD, TGA, XPS, Raman, FTIR)
• Chemical engineering fundamentals
• Dissertation and thesis writing
• Data analysis and interpretation
• PhD/MSc project guidance and viva preparation
I've taught as a postgraduate TA at the University of Birmingham and as a laboratory teaching assistant at the University of Leicester, so I'm used to explaining complex topics clearly and giving actionable feedback.
Sessions are online, and I tailor every session to your level and goals.
