Lessons will be personalised to my students, being focused on their exam board and which topics they are stronger/weaker in. We will build on foundation knowledge whilst integrating exam technique to maximise their confidence in exams throughout secondary school. By consistently doing exam questions on the same topics, their weaker topics will be better fixated into their memory so that the knowledge can be applied on paper for any type of exam.
I will have a big emphasis on past papers for the real exam practice and experience, with the exam time limit in place too to work on the nerves and lack of confidence students can experience when doing exams, especially nearer to exam periods which tend to be at the end of the year. Revision over the summer is crucial and definitely makes a big difference on the students confidence throughout the following year, either strengthening the previous years content or by putting the student at a head start to their classmates for the following year.
All this combined will prepare students for all types of content and exams, whether they have 5 years till GCSES or a few months.
