I teach all ages 6-60. I can teach general English and Business English.

Advert description
Personalised lessons tailored to the student concerned. I've been teaching since 2000. Friendly, relaxed but I get students working to their highest possible level, usually without them realizing they have jumped to a higher level. (I have ways of reducing the fear factor!)
Anthony Walkey in a nutshell
Having taught all ages from 7-70, I am very adaptable to your specific needs. Having taught all ages from 7-70, I am very adaptable to your specific needs. Reactivating 'rusty' English for businessmen & businesswomen is my specialty but I have recently been teaching children in China 7-16 online. So whether it's Harry Potter, presentations, practice interviews or Biff and Chip, you are all very welcome.

I identify students' weaker points very early on and then focus on filling in the gaps. Students relax and I accelerate the pace discreetly. Confidence grows and as long as students keep focused, good progress is made by all who are committed to their studies.

Having written 2 books myself and having nearly finished my third, some students may wish to use these as their study books. I have one regular student at present who is doing exactly that. My pen name is Anthony Branden Dale:

Rather than giving students the idea that stringing language together in ever more complex boxes is a good way forward, I take the view that, as an analogy, if you sit at the front in a cinema, the screen is too close and you can't see properly. As you move back, it comes into focus. That is the way I suggest my students view their lessons. Get the main idea; the detail comes in stages later on. It's like a bicycle; keep riding and you won't fall off.
