I have 10 years experience in the UK and abroad and have the roles of Head of History in multiple schools as well as Head of Politics and Academic and Pastoral Head of Year 12. I specialise in helping students develop their analytical writing. I think an insightful and convincing essay writer is borne from an informed and confident student. We’ll use structured debates and proven essay techniques to improve his writing clarity and evidence use. As a long standing teacher of History and Politics A-Level I have deep knowledge of what makes a successful A Level essay. I have a broad and diverse experience of working with young people in so many contexts. I have experience as a Private Tutor and tennis coach, having spent years working abroad in New Zealand and Peru. I believe in an individual-focused approach that considers students' personal ambitions and interests beyond exam results. I am fascinated by current affairs and the lessons we can learn from the study of history and believe that cultivating curiosity and open mindedness is the best way to unlock each student's potential.
