I’m going to help your child by drawing on my many years of experience teaching 1:1 in the Home Tuition Service, where I’ve supported learners who are anxious, out of school, or struggling to engage. I use the same calm, consistent and relationship-focused approach that has helped countless pupils regain confidence and make real progress. I will teach them the specific skills they need—whether that’s strengthening core maths for a grade 4/5, rebuilding foundations in English or science, or developing organisation and study habits—breaking everything into clear, achievable steps, just as I’ve done throughout my tutoring work with borderline GCSE students. Because of my background in PE, coaching and outdoor education, I naturally teach in a practical, encouraging way that makes learning feel accessible rather than intimidating. I’ll communicate with warmth, clarity and positivity, because I know from working with vulnerable and SEMH learners that how you speak to a student matters just as much as what you teach. By combining my experience, patience and structured approach, I’ll help them feel capable, motivated and proud of what they can achieve.
