I am a Computational Biophysicist Researcher currently working as a Project Assistant Professor in Japan

I am a Computational Biophysicist and Molecular Simulation Researcher currently working as a Project Assistant Professor (Postdoctoral Research Fellow) at RIIS, Okayama University, under Prof. Wataru Shinoda. My PhD research combines molecular dynamics simulations, statistical mechanics, and computational chemistry to understand protein stability, osmolyte effect, hydrophobic interactions, and biomolecular phase behavior. Through all-atom and coarse-grained simulations, I investigate how molecular interactions shape the structure, dynamics, and function of biological and soft matter systems. During my Ph.D. at IIT Bombay, India with Prof. Rajarshi Chakrabarti, I uncovered molecular mechanisms by which choline chloride protects proteins from denaturation and modulates protein stability, hydrophobic interactions. My work spans protein folding, solvent-mediated interactions, free-energy calculations, and liquid–liquid phase separation, resulting in multiple publications in leading international journals. I am passionate about using computational approaches to solve fundamental problems at the interface of chemistry, physics, and biology and am always interested in scientific collaborations and interdisciplinary research opportunities.
