I approach language learning a bit like Pilates: you start with the basics, build a strong foundation and gradually add more.

I am a graduate of Comenius University in Bratislava, where I completed my Master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting, specialising in German and English. During my studies, I also spent a semester at the University of Vienna studying Transcultural Communication and completed an Erasmus semester at the University of Regensburg in Germany. I have been teaching German and English for more than 10 years, working with students of different ages and language levels. I also hold a C1 German language certificate and have completed advanced German courses at C1 level. In my lessons, I focus on clear and simple explanations, practical examples and helping students understand the logic behind the language. I use associations and memory tricks to make grammar and vocabulary easier to remember, and I always try to connect what we learn to real-life communication. My background in translation and interpreting has given me a strong understanding of both German and English, but as a teacher, my goal is to explain things in a way that feels simple and manageable – not unnecessarily academic.
