I’m a patient, friendly and experienced tutor, offering engaging French and Maths lessons for children, teenagers, adults.

Advert description
My teaching approach is student-centred, practical, interactive, and adapted to each learner’s individual needs. I begin by understanding the student’s current level, learning goals, strengths, and areas that require improvement. This allows me to create lessons that are focused, engaging, and suitable for their pace of learning. For French lessons, I develop the four key skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I use conversations, vocabulary activities, grammar exercises, pronunciation practice, reading comprehension, and real-life situations to help students communicate confidently. For students preparing for DELF, DALF, TCF, or TEF Canada, I focus specifically on exam requirements, time management, strategies, practice questions, and regular feedback. For Mathematics, I explain concepts step by step using simple language and practical examples. I encourage students to solve problems independently while providing guidance whenever they experience difficulties. I also use exercises of different levels of difficulty to strengthen understanding and develop problem-solving skills. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Therefore, I create a supportive and positive learning environment where students can participate actively without fear of making errors. I regularly check understanding during lessons and adjust my teaching when necessary. I also provide constructive feedback and encourage students to practise between lessons. My goal is not only to help students complete their assignments or prepare for an examination, but also to develop their confidence, independence, and long-term learning skills. Whether teaching a beginner, an advanced learner, a school student, or an exam candidate, I remain patient, organised, and flexible. I aim to make every lesson useful, engaging, and relevant to the student’s personal or academic objectives. Ultimately, I want every student to leave each lesson with a clearer understanding of the topic, greater confidence, and practical skills they can apply independently.

I have more than 4 years teaching experiences with 3 recommendations. Firstly from Compass Tutoring Team, Canada; secondly, The Afghan Women Center of Montréal, Canada; and thirdly,The Elshadai Evening Comprehensive School, Nigeria.
I'm also a member of Princeton Cooperative Canada. I'm presently a French Language teacher in Naijatutorskonnect, US/Canada and also Upskill tutoring Team US.
I would describe my lessons and teaching styles as highly adaptable. I do not really prefer one teaching method, or one way of interacting with the students in the classroom environment. Because in my opinion, each class is different, so is each lesson, and a good teacher should always adjust their teaching to their audience, the level of discipline in the class, the difficulty of the lesson, and so on. I simply prefer individual approach to teaching, and I alternate between being an authority, demonstrator, facilitator, and delegator. So far it has been working great, so I have no reason to doubt the effectiveness of my teaching style.
