Engaging English lessons for Key Stage 1-4, exploring literature and meaningful discussions

I aim to be a fun and engaging tutor, one who takes all manner of critisicm and feedback seriously to better tailor my lessons to them. I wish to not only teach any potential students the English language, but also introduce them to popular English books and stories. For instance, the 'Percy Jackson' series by Rick Riordan or 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell. Through this, I aim to broaden their knowledge of world history and current political and social issues. I also wish to encourage their reading journey through introducing them to new genres, such as Japanese manga and Chinese novels, and share books that have inspired me throughout my life. I want to have deep and meaningful discussions, not just about English, but about life and the world. I want to build a trusting and respectful relationship, where they can be comfortable speaking and know that they will be heard. I hope to offer guidance through their education and become a supportive mentor.
