Online Psychology Mentoring and Support from a Dedicated Child Psychologist

My name is Hibba Jameel, a dedicated and compassionate Child Psychologist and Psychology Mentor from Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Born on 20th July 2001, I have built my career around a single purpose: to support the mental health, emotional well-being, and developmental growth of children with special needs and adults facing psychological challenges. I completed my BS (Hons) in Applied Psychology from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (2020-2024), one of the most formative periods of my academic journey. My education provided me with a strong foundation in psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions, and research methodology. My final year thesis, "The Impact of Sleep Quality on Emotional Regulation and Cognitive Functioning," supervised by Prof. Dr. Farukh Noor, and my group research on "The Impact of Parental Mobile Addiction on Young Adult Behavior and Self-Esteem," helped me develop strong analytical and research skills. Currently, I am working in two impactful roles. As a *Child Psychologist at The Hope and Care Institute of Autism* since August 2024, I specialize in enhancing eye-hand coordination, communication, and cognitive development in children with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, hydrocephalus, hearing impairments, speech disorders, and Down syndrome. I use a holistic approach combining art therapy, hypnotic therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's unique needs. Simultaneously, as a *Psychology Mentor at The Buraaq Association* since April 2025, I conduct professional workshops for students and fellow psychologists, focusing on practical skills and community mental health awareness. My clinical experience is diverse and hands-on. I completed internships at Shakoor Mind and Care Psychiatric Ward, where I conducted Mental State Examinations (MSE), utilized DSM-5-TR for diagnosing conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, bulimia nervosa, and functional neurological disorder, and provided support and family education therapy. I also assisted in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) procedures.
