What I enjoy about teaching I love teaching languages because they open doors to people, cultures, ideas, and new ways of seeing the world. For me, learning a language should not be limited to memorising vocabulary and grammar. It should give students the confidence to communicate, express themselves, ask questions, and discover something new. What I enjoy most is seeing students gradually become more confident and realise that they are capable of communicating in another language. During this time, I have taught English communication, grammar, vocabulary, writing, creative writing, and practical language skills. I am also a native Spanish speaker and have been teaching Spanish to beginners for the past two years. My experience has taught me that every student learns differently. I therefore try to adapt my lessons to the people in the classroom rather than expecting everyone to learn in exactly the same way. A little about me I see myself as a communicative, creative, and supportive teacher. I want my classroom to be a place where students feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, making mistakes, and expressing their own ideas. I like to bring real life into my lessons. We might discuss music, films, culture, history, current events, everyday situations, or questions that make students think. I particularly enjoy creative writing and activities that allow students to use language in unexpected ways. My academic background in business, philosophy, politics, economics, and behavioural studies also influences the way I teach. I enjoy looking at subjects from different perspectives and encouraging students to develop their own opinions and think critically.
