Advert description
I have almost 20 years experience of teaching A level Art & Design in a leading sixth-form college. My subject specialisms are in printmaking and in textile design. I was subject leader of an A level textiles design course for many years.
I can help you by giving advice, ideas and guidance on your GCSE and A Level art or design projects. I can also provide additional drawing tuition, to help you understand the formal elements of art & design ( such as line, tone, colour, perspective, composition, pattern, texture etc) and how you can start to use them effectively in your own work. Lessons will usually involving looking at the work of other artists as examples , practical demonstrations, and short excersises for you to practise.
With a great track record of helping students gain places at prestigious art colleges or on university design degrees, I can advise you on building and preparing portfolios for application, as well as writing your personal statements for UCAS applications, including under the new system for 2026 entrants and beyond.
I am happy to work remotely with students across the Uk, but for students in and around the Wolverhampton area, I am also happy to do home visits for 1:1 in person tuition. Whether we meet online or in person, you will receive notes following a session as a record of our discussion and next steps, to help you stay on track.
