Advert description
I hold a PhD in Economics from Loughborough University, where my doctoral research examined the macroeconomic impact of remittances in developing economies using advanced econometric methods. I also completed an MSc in Economics at University of Warwick and graduated with First Class Honours in Economics from Loughborough University.
Alongside my doctoral studies, I taught undergraduate students in Principles of Macroeconomics and Introduction to Econometrics, delivering weekly tutorials, explaining quantitative concepts clearly, and supporting students in developing analytical confidence. Professionally, I later worked as an Economic Consultant at United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, where I applied economic research, data analysis, and policy writing to real-world economic challenges.
My experience combines strong subject knowledge, practical research skills, and the ability to explain complex economic ideas in an accessible way. I am patient, adaptable, and confident working with students of different abilities, with a teaching style focused on clarity, structure, and building independent understanding.
Strong knowledge of A-Level Economics syllabus content, with the ability to teach both microeconomics and macroeconomics clearly and systematically. Experienced in explaining core topics including market structures, elasticity, government intervention, inflation, unemployment, monetary policy, fiscal policy, and international trade. Skilled at breaking down complex diagrams, economic theory, and exam techniques into accessible steps, while helping students develop analytical writing, evaluation skills, and confidence in applying economic concepts to real-world examples.
