My lessons are structured, detailed, and tailored to the individual needs of each student. I place strong emphasis on building a clear intuitive understanding of economic concepts before moving into exam-style application, as I believe students perform best when they fully understand the reasoning behind a model or theory rather than simply memorising content.
For A-Level students, I cover both microeconomics and macroeconomics systematically, ensuring that core topics are understood in depth and linked to current economic examples where relevant. Lessons typically involve working through diagrams, economic intuition, structured written responses, and targeted exam-style questions to strengthen analytical and evaluative skills. I pay close attention to detail, particularly in how students construct answers, apply chains of reasoning, and meet mark scheme requirements.
My teaching approach is patient and methodical, with a strong focus on identifying weaker areas early and improving confidence through repetition, explanation, and guided practice. Drawing on my PhD in Economics and university teaching experience, I aim to help students not only improve grades but also develop a deeper understanding of economics as a subject.
