I achieved an A* in A-Level Economics myself, and went on to study International Relations and Economics at the University of Birmingham (2:1), before starting an MSc in Public Policy at King's College London. That combination means I don't just know the syllabus. I understand how the concepts you're learning actually play out in real policy and global affairs, which makes lessons feel a lot less abstract.

Format: Lessons run for an hour, delivered one-to-one so the session is fully tailored to you. I keep them interactive rather than lecture-style. I use a mix of past paper questions, real-world case studies, and diagram practice, since Economics at A-Level is as much about clear written analysis and evaluation as it is about knowing the theory.

What we cover: Depending on your exam board (AQA, Edexcel, OCR), we work through micro and macro topics including markets, market failure, fiscal and monetary policy, and international trade, tied back to current events so ideas like inflation or interest rates feel grounded in what's actually happening in the news.

Exam technique: Since I sat this exact exam and scored top marks, I know exactly what examiners are looking for. I focus heavily on structure: building a strong chain of analysis, using diagrams effectively, and writing evaluation that actually earns marks rather than restating the question. I mark and give detailed feedback on essays and data-response questions.

My approach: I keep lessons relaxed and genuinely enjoy the subject. My goal is to help you think like an economist, not just memorize one.
