AQA A level Psychology tutor (year12 and 13 students)

Hi! I'm a recent A-Level student offering one-to-one tutoring for AQA A-Level Psychology to students in Years 12 and 13. I was predicted an A* in A-Level Psychology and have recently completed the course myself, meaning my knowledge of the specification, content, and exam techniques is fresh and up to date. I understand exactly what it's like to study the course, prepare for assessments, and revise effectively.

For Paper 3, I studied the topics of Aggression, Relationships, Schizophrenia, and Issues and Debates, so I can provide targeted support in these areas alongside the core content covered in Papers 1 and 2.

Throughout sixth form, I developed strong teaching and communication skills through a range of educational leadership roles. As a Senior Faculty Prefect for Social Sciences, I provided weekly tutoring sessions for GCSE Psychology students, helping them understand difficult concepts, strengthen their exam technique, and build confidence in the subject. This experience taught me how to explain complex theories in a clear, engaging, and accessible way while adapting my approach to suit each student's learning style.

I also took part in a Peer Education Project, where I planned and delivered interactive lessons on mental health to a Year 7 form once every half term over the course of two terms. This role strengthened my ability to communicate necessary concepts to different age groups, encourage discussion, and create a positive learning environment where students felt comfortable asking questions.

My tutoring sessions are tailored to each student's individual needs, whether that's learning new content, revising key studies, improving essay structure, mastering exam technique, or building confidence before mocks and final exams. I can help break down challenging topics into manageable sections, provide effective revision strategies, and work through practice questions using AQA mark schemes to develop the skills needed to achieve top grades.

Because I've only recently completed A-Level Psychology, I can offer up-to-date advice on revision methods, time management, and the specific demands of the AQA specification. I know which areas students often struggle with and how to approach them efficiently. My aim is to make Psychology enjoyable, understandable, and less overwhelming while helping students reach their full potential.
