My lessons are designed to be supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student's individual needs. Whether you're struggling with a particular topic, aiming to improve your essay writing, or working towards the highest grades, I'll adapt each session to help you achieve your goals.
As I have recently completed A-Level Psychology myself and was predicted an A*, I understand the challenges of the course and what examiners are looking for. I can help students studying the AQA specification, including the core content from Papers 1 and 2, as well as the Paper 3 topics I studied: Aggression, Relationships, Schizophrenia, and Issues and Debates.
Lessons will typically begin by identifying areas you find difficult or topics you'd like to focus on. I'll explain key concepts in a clear and straightforward way before checking your understanding through discussion and practice questions. We'll also work on applying your knowledge to exam-style questions, improving AO1, AO2, and AO3 skills, and developing effective essay structures using AQA mark schemes and examiner expectations.
Alongside content knowledge, I'll share the revision techniques and study strategies that I found most effective during my own A-Level studies, helping you revise efficiently and build confidence in your understanding.
My previous experience includes tutoring GCSE Psychology students weekly as a Senior Faculty Prefect for Social Sciences and delivering interactive mental health lessons to Year 7 students through a Peer Education Project. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas in an accessible way.
My aim is to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing the confidence needed to succeed in A-Level Psychology.
