Interactive and engaging lessons

Hey, I’m Duncan and I’ve graduated with a Masters Degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol.
I really loved my degree because I was doing research into anion binding receptors which help alleviate the symptoms of cystic fibrosis. This was very rewarding project because it let me apply all my skills and knowledge with quite a valuable end goal. I also loved the team work aspect within the research.
I have been tutored before when I was doing my GCSE’s and A-levels, so don’t worry… I know how tough these exams can be and how valuable a good tutor can be. I will try and explain things as clearly as possible and with me I won’t be judgemental, I will be patient and I will always try my best to give you the confidence to ace these exams.
I will try give past paper questions because I think these are the best assessor for your ability, and I will always back this up with explaining things in as many different ways as possible, so that you can understand a concept even if one explanation is unclear.
I will also go slightly beyond and teach you how to stay calm and manage your time leading up to a deadline or an exam. I used to do rowing at school and did football at university, so I know the time pressures that sports and a social life can exert on exams, but also positives that come along with balancing working hard with a tutor and doing exercise.
