I teach structured online lessons using Teams, guided worksheets, research tasks, exam question practice, and targeted revision strategies designed to build confidence and improve GCSE performance. Lessons are shaped around the areas each student finds most challenging, so we focus time where it has the greatest impact. I believe tutoring should be student-led: we identify weak topics together, break them down into manageable steps, and practise applying knowledge through exam-style questions.
Sessions are interactive and supportive rather than lecture-based. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explain their thinking, and work through problems with guidance. I use active recall, retrieval practice, and exam technique coaching to help students retain information and approach questions strategically. This not only strengthens understanding but also reduces exam anxiety.
Each lesson is adapted to the individual learner’s pace and goals — whether they need help catching up on missed content, consolidating key topics, or pushing towards higher grades. My aim is to create a calm, positive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. Confidence grows alongside understanding, and that confidence translates directly into better performance in school and exams.
