I’m a qualified science teacher specialising in biology, currently teaching KS3 and KS4 students. I have classroom experience supporting a wide range of learners and understand how to adapt explanations so that complex ideas become clear and manageable. I’m patient, encouraging, and focused on building confidence as well as knowledge. My goal is not just to help students memorise content, but to make sure they genuinely understand it and feel capable applying it in exams.
My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student. Sessions are delivered online using Teams and combine clear teaching, guided worksheets, research tasks, and regular exam-style question practice. I use active recall, retrieval practice, and targeted revision techniques to strengthen long-term memory and improve exam performance. Lessons are interactive rather than lecture-based — students are encouraged to ask questions, think aloud, and work through problems step by step.
I primarily support students preparing for GCSE biology, but I also teach KS3 learners who want to build strong foundations early. Whether a student needs help catching up on missed topics, revising for exams, or pushing towards higher grades, I adapt the pace and focus of each session to match their needs. I understand exam expectations and mark schemes, and I teach students how to approach questions strategically, not just what the answers are.
Above all, I aim to create a calm and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. Confidence grows when students feel supported, and that confidence translates directly into better performance.
