First-Class Chemistry Graduate from St Andrews Tutors National 5 and Higher Chemistry Online or in South Lanarkshire

I’m a recent First-class Chemistry BSc graduate from the University of St Andrews, now preparing to begin my MSc in Forensic Science at the University of Strathclyde. I have a deep passion for chemistry and love helping others understand the subject in a way that makes it feel less intimidating and more engaging. I returned to university after a break and know firsthand how powerful a supportive learning environment can be - I aim to provide exactly that for my students.

While I’m new to professional tutoring, I’ve spent years helping classmates and younger students with chemistry, from National 5 to university level. I have a strong academic background, including top results in advanced chemistry modules, and I’ve developed a clear, accessible style of explanation. My experience includes breaking down complex concepts, helping with exam technique, and supporting students with different learning styles.

My approach is friendly, flexible, and student-focused. I start by understanding where each student is at - whether they need to build confidence with the basics or push towards top grades. I use real-world examples to make chemistry more relatable, and tailor sessions to match each student’s pace. I’m especially passionate about making problem-solving and exam preparation less stressful and more effective, through guided practice and clear explanations.
