Archival based historical researcher wishing to encourage students of all levels to engage in history.

I am passionate about all areas of history although my undergraduate degree was a BA(Hons) in Modern History and my PhD was in Historical Geography where my focus was in the nineteenth century social history of the London rookeries. My teaching method is primarily archival based, drawing on the wealth of primary documents that are available to the general public. I have experience in teaching and mentoring at university level, including marking course work.
