As an experienced singing teacher and professional vocalist, I am passionate about helping singers of all ages and abilities develop confidence, technique, and a genuine love of music.
I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Music, specialising in Vocal Studies and Performance, and have been teaching singing for the past five years. Since 2022, I have run my own private vocal academy, delivering one-to-one singing lessons, choir rehearsals, musical theatre classes, and regular student showcases. Through this work, I have developed a teaching approach that is both supportive and adaptable, enabling students to progress at their own pace while achieving their individual goals. I have also gained experience working with kids who have additional needs and now feel confident adapting my teaching styles.
A key part of my role has been preparing students for performances, helping them build confidence on stage and develop strong technique. I regularly organise showcases, giving students valuable opportunities to perform ann encouraging environment. I take pride in creating a positive atmosphere where students feel motivated, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Alongside my teaching career, I continue to work professionally as a vocalist, performing jazz at venues and events across the UK. I am also a member of the three-part harmony group The Vintage Girls, performing a wide-ranging repertoire and bringing strong ensemble and musicianship skills to my work. I also sold out my 2024 show at the Edinburgh Fringe . My experience as a performer allows me to provide students with practical industry insight and first-hand knowledge of live performance.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work on a variety of high-profile projects. I was scouted for ITV's Romeo & Duet and have toured alongside Callum Beattie and Cammy Barnes, gaining valuable experience within the professional music industry. These opportunities have strengthened my understanding of performance, professionalism, and the skills required to succeed as a modern vocalist.
