I have experience teaching a range of creative subjects to students aged 3–5 up to 17. I tailor my sessions to suit each student’s age, school level, and ability. My teaching methods include active recall and revisiting content to maximise revision and retention. I also place a strong emphasis on practical work, such as past papers, mind maps, diagrams, and other visual or interactive resources, to consolidate understanding.
Depending on the lesson and the work being covered, I often use real-life examples and pop culture references to engage students, capture their interest, and help them stay focused. By breaking down concepts into memorable anecdotes and relatable content, I make challenging and overwhelming questions feel more approachable.
Alongside guided instruction, I provide independent study time so that students can apply what they have learned. This allows me to assess their progress and adapt my teaching methods to support them more effectively. My lessons aim to develop not only subject knowledge but also transferable skills such as critical thinking, organisation, and resilience. Where appropriate, I also make use of digital tools and interactive platforms to keep lessons dynamic and engaging.
I have previous experience tutoring first-year A-Level students during my second year of college. I was recommended by my Digital Media teacher to help boost their exam confidence from a student’s perspective. My focus was on making them feel calm and supported, while guiding them to improve their homework corrections using knowledge from my own experiences. They successfully passed their retake exams with my help, and I was incredibly proud of them, as I believe the work they produced came from their own efforts — I simply provided guidance. I hold this principle in high regard, as I believe creativity and independent thinking should come from within, not just because someone asked for it.
I am committed to offering the best possible service and helping each student reach their full potential.
