Experienced in Home Education and SEND learners

I am an exhibiting artist, experienced art tutor and assessor with a strong background in creative education, home education and learner support.

I work with children and young people across a range of ages and abilities, including learners working towards formal qualifications and portfolio development up to A level standard. I am also an Arts Award adviser and assessor, supporting learners through creative projects, research, reflection and the development of their own artistic style.

I have extensive experience within the home education community and understand that learners do not all thrive through the same approach. I adapt lessons to suit individual interests, confidence levels and learning needs, including learners with SEND.

My teaching is practical, encouraging and project-based. I can support students with drawing, painting, mixed media, art history, artist research, sketchbook development, coursework, portfolios and creative projects, as well as helping learners develop confidence in discussing and evaluating their own work.

As a practising artist, I bring real creative experience into my teaching and aim to make art feel accessible, enjoyable and purposeful. I believe that everyone is an artist.
